Adding External Links to Curations

This article explains how to add External Links to an existing Curation.

Adding External Links to a Curation allows you to blend in external learning sources to transform your curations into powerful, company centric learning programs. Whether you want to share an article, link to an external video site, survey your learners or just connect the end of your platform back to your learning hub, we've got you covered.

Your learners will be able to see this Link and Link details in the Table of Contents of the Curation.

Step 1: Click the '+ Add Content' button

1. Click '+ Add content' Button.

2. Select 'Link'.

Step 2: Add External Link information

  1. Paste in a URL you would like those viewing your Curation to access.
  2. Give a 'Title' to your link.
  3. Provide a 'Description' for the link.
  4. Select a 'Content Type' (Link, Article, Video, Audio or Survey/Poll).
  5. Esimate a duration (in minutes) for content or experiences accessed by the link.
  6. Click 'Add to Curation'.

Step 3: Share your Curation

Once you're finished creating your Curation, it's time share. Learners will see the External Link you added in the Table of Contents of the Curation. When they click in, they will be able to see the Description and a button that will open the link in a new tab. Big Think+ also creates a record of who has opened the link and captures the estimated time a user has spent - helping you understand time spent learning on external sources.
